What We Offer
Art Therapy
A creative space where participants use visual arts, journaling, and expression through mixed media to explore their identity, process emotions, and build self-esteem. Guided by a licensed art therapist or counselor, girls learn to express complex feelings, reduce anxiety, and develop a stronger sense of self-worth.
Volunteerism Opportunities
Community service projects that empower girls to give back while learning empathy, teamwork, and leadership. Opportunities may include working with youth, supporting local shelters, environmental clean-ups, or organizing community events that reflect their passions and values.
Future Planning & Goal Setting
Guided sessions that help participants define their personal, academic, and career goals. Girls learn how to create vision boards, develop SMART goals, track their progress, and build the mindset and habits necessary to succeed and celebrate small wins along the way.
Professional Guest Speakers
Weekly or monthly sessions with inspiring women leaders, entrepreneurs, activists, and professionals from diverse industries. These speakers share their personal journeys, offer mentorship, and provide real-world insight on overcoming barriers, building confidence, and pursuing dreams unapologetically.
Life Skills Workshops
Interactive sessions on essential life skills such as financial literacy, time management, conflict resolution, communication, decision-making, and digital citizenship. These workshops are culturally relevant and centered on real-life scenarios to help participants build independence and resilience.
Hygiene Education
Workshops focused on personal care, menstrual health, skincare, body image, and understanding the importance of holistic well-being. Products and resources are provided when possible, along with open discussions to debunk myths and promote body positivity in a safe, affirming environment.
Field Trips
Educational and enriching excursions to museums, cultural landmarks, colleges, nature retreats, and professional workplaces. These trips aim to expand worldviews, inspire ambition, and offer hands-on experiences that connect with themes of identity, heritage, and opportunity.

Empowering Black Girls to Lead, Thrive, and Break Barriers
Next Gen Black Girl Magic Program is dedicated to uplifting and empowering young Black girls through mentorship, leadership development, and culturally affirming programs. Founded on the belief that every girl deserves to feel seen, heard, and supported, our mission is to create safe, nurturing spaces where young women of color can connect and unlock their full potential.

Hear It From the Girls
I’ve been in Next Gen Black Girl Magic for 2 years. I love Next Gen Black Girl Magic because I can express my feelings, and it is a place where I can feel safe. I feel like I can get away from school and academics, just to connect with other Black girls who can relate to me. What I learned while in Next Gen Black Girl Magic is self-love and how to treat myself with care and kindness. Moving forward I want to encourage other young Black girls, and let them know they are worth something and that no matter who they are or what they think of themselves, I want to encourage them to love the skin they are in. I want them to love their hair, and embrace their beauty. Next Gen Black Girl Magic is the definition of friendship, group building, and connection.

I love that the Next Gen Black Girl Magic Program is a community of girls who share blackness despite the differences in culture. I also love that it is a place where we share struggle in a society that shuns us, and we form love and encouragement instead of bringing the hate that society gives us into the group. This group is a beautiful place to express yourself as you are. It inspires and encourages you to be the best that you can be.
